My opponent said he wants the city to take over Dana Peak park on a long-term lease from the Corps of Engineers.

I mean it when I say I will never take over this park. I will leave it in its natural setting for all to use without city gate fee. We need great, open spaces so I’ll never pursue music fests and wine and brew fests there.

Taking over this park is just too great a financial risk. We have roads to take care first and foremost. Not another park.
